I'm trying to come up with a meaningful half sleeve.
Anybody got any tips? I'm going to try and sketch my ideas up soon.

All I can suggest is think on it for a while . I started when I was 19 and now I have a full sleeve and three others and I'm still going.

I started when I was 18 with my right bicep, not even visible unless I'm wearing a wife beater.
It is something that I've got to put a lot of thought into. And I've got to find a reputable artist to do it properly.
I'm thinking about doing something on my shoulder blade also, although I'm not too sure yet though.

Spaceball-Two is right. Come up with what you want and wait one or two months. If you still want to get it, then by all means get it. If you changed your mind before then, then wait a little longer on the new idea.

My idea was to wait about 6 months, for me to keep getting used to it. And if I still love it every day of the week, then I'll get it. If I'm uncertain, then no.
Good advice though!

I've always been interested in a tattoo but could never decide on something I'd be happy with forever. Maybe once I've bought my 3rd mazda I'll just get the emblem tatted up. Why not!?!
